Houses of Mercy

KCC Compassion Ministry “Building Caring Neighbourhoods

“What is required of you, O man, but to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before your God” Micah 6.8.

Our vision is to mobilize Kelowna’s City Church in order to build caring neighborhoods by placing Houses of Mercy (HOM) on every street, to pray for the welfare of our city, and together help people, poor or not, use whatever church and city resources are available. KCC’s practical expression of this is the HOM Mercy Center Outreach program, the hosting of the Rutland Community Food Center, and working with other churches and organizations in the city to serve each other, Kelowna and our neighbours through acts of love, and compassion.

Rutland Community Food Center

For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited me in... Matthew 25:35

The Rutland Community Food Center is open on Tuesday nights from 5:30 - 7:00pm. Contact the office for information at 250-762-9559.

Last year we served close to 1000 people and distributed well over 500 food hampers to the poor and needy of our community and church body.
