Paradigm
“the mental maps that we use to describe the world around us. They are the lens that each of us uses to understand everyone and everything!”

Paradigm Shift
The “aha moment,” an epiphany, a mind and heart shift, a wake-up call, an eye-opening experience. It is a moment when the light bulb goes off and you have a breakthrough that usually affects your life forever. It is the ‘Now, I get it’ moment!

Money is not evil – the love of money is (1 Tim 6:10)
If money was an evil, why would God give you the power to get wealth (Deut 8:18)
If God didn’t want you to prosper, why would He “take pleasure in the prosperity of His servants”(Ps 35:27)?
If having wealth was wrong, why would He store up the wealth of the sinner for the righteous (Pr 13:22)?
Why would He bring “wealth and riches” into the house of the righteous if it wasn’t the right thing to do? (Ps 112:11-5)

Trusting in riches leads to a fall (Pr 11:28)
“Tell those rich in this world’s wealth to quit being so full of themselves and so obsessed with money, which is here today and gone tomorrow. Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage—to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous. If they do that, they’ll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life” (1 Tim 6:17-19)

The problem is never wealth but what we pursue: seeking His Kingdom and righteousness must become our first pursuit and passion
(Matt 6:33, Jas 1:11)

If we are faithful to use what we have been given, honoring Him with the tithe and first-fruits, our resources will increase
 (Pr 3:9-10; Lu 16:10-13)

GOD WANTS HIS WEALTH IN CIRCULATION (Lu 6:38)
Just as love is not love until it is given away, wealth is not wealth until you invest it God's way.
Deut 8:17-18 - “it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant”

The nature of true wealth is that it cannot be stored: when it is, it ceases to be wealth and becomes a fool’s kingdom
(Lu 12:15-21)

Speaking to the people, he went on, “Take care! Protect yourself against the least bit of greed. Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot.” Then he told them this story: “The farm of a certain rich man produced a terrific crop. He talked to himself: ‘What can I do? My barn isn’t big enough for this harvest.’ Then he said, ‘Here’s what I’ll do: I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I’ll gather in all my grain and goods, and I’ll say to myself, Self, you’ve done well! You’ve got it made and can now retire. Take it easy and have the time of your life!’ “Just then God showed up and said, ‘Fool! Tonight you die. And your barnfull of goods—who gets it?’ “That’s what happens when you fill your barn with Self and not with God.”

GOD, WHO OWN ALL THNGS,
IS A BLESSOR (Gen 1:26-28)

- God blessed them
Be fruitful, multiply
Fill the earth, subjugate it

THIS BLESSING IS CHALLENGED, AND
MAN CAME UNDER THE Curse (Gen 3)

The Battle between the Blessing and the Curse

Gen 12, Abram
Gen 13, Lot
Gen 14, Melchizedek
Gen 15, God
Isaac and Ishmael
Gen 32, Jacob at Jabbok
Num 22-24 – Balaam
Mal 3 – Israel
Gal 3:13-14 - Jesus

It’s His nature (Jn 3:16)
It’s His name
It was Christ’s example (Acts 10:38)
All of creation reflects generosity
Obedience requires it - "There is a sore evil...namely, riches kept for the owners to their hurt..." (Eccles 5:13-14)

ALL OF GOD'S WEALTH LEGALLY BELONGS TO HIS CHILDREN NOW
Eph 1:3 – “Blessed and worthy of praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ”

“If you take care of His House, He will take care of yours”
